“What’s up, Ray? Why so quiet?” asked no-one ever… because Ray is too damn active, over-social I’d say, but only when she is ONLINE.
The latest news:
- my blurb for 42 Degrees of Truth (Amazon) is ready – read below
- my book cover will be posted next week
- Ray is going to the Festival of Literature (Sweden), in the middle of October
- Ray is going to the class ‘How to write a feel-good novel,’ in November.
It doesn’t mean I’m planning to write a ‘feel good’ novel (to tell the truth, all my stories already a little bit feel-good, because they are making people smile or wonder ‘what the heck?!’, probably, more often the last 😂🙀…).
Blurb for Amazon
42 Degrees of Truth is a life-changing experience!
Each page of this poetry collection contains plenty of irony, dark humour, and straight-up oddness, all in the name of criticising social issues, cultural dysfunction, broken relationships, and our egoistic views.
Each poem is written with such beauty that you’ll find yourself craving to read the next one. Some are extremely heartbreaking, some are bitter and erotic, some teeter on the absurd, violence, and rage…
42 Degrees of Truth is also a powerful window into the mindset of the 21st century – the frustrations of sexism, the burdens of the monotonous family life, and the futility of the new All-What-I-Am culture.
As to be expected from Victoria Ray, the poems are mystical, sharp, and eye-opening, with a touch of dark melancholy.

You have to suffer one more month with ‘The Pearl Territory’ shots*/or chapters. I’m planning to finish the first draft in November.
December 2019:
- Absurd stories. I’m planning to post one during October, called “Chunky Burger” (with a Halloween touch). Main character – Mr. CruelMemories. And plus, one absurd story a week during December.
January 2020:
- I’m introducing a new hero – Posighdun Papadakis (you can call him Posi), a private investigator.
Yeah, I have plans to kill some folks: good and bad. In a murder mystery novel!
And who knows …you might find your name on the list.
Very easy! 😂👻 This is my first book with a 100%-detailed plot. I also created a SPECIAL notebook for my characters. I know damn everything: from what they love to eat for breakfast to the colour of their knickers. 😏😳
Why?
I think it is impossible to write a good crime fiction without a precise plot and ‘knowing’ your protagonist/antagonist.

I’d like to discuss a topic of writing ‘nonsense’ or absurd fiction/comedy. ‘Absurd’ means that the stories aren’t made (or written) to look like NORMAL stories.
For normal stories – on the right…
For Ray’s stories – sit where you are right now,
enjoy that huge ice-cream con ✌️🍺
I want to create something odd and crazy but fun, something that other writers would never do. We are living at a time when we don’t need to fit… Isn’t it the best feeling ever –
to feel free?
Ah, and don’t forget to check my new interview on Jas’ Blog! You’ll find out a little bit more about – Victoria (aka “Ray”)
Next post – “The Pearl Territory”, ch. 23 – Bruck
Your dog was called Ray?
Do you regret now not speaking Byelorussian?
(It can’t get more spontaneous than this. Way to go, girl. You really did everything right)
I had a dog called Ray. During 3 months or so. But it wasn’t “100%” mine. I took it from Cyprus rescue-dog-hotel to help & find family for him in Sweden. I named him Ray (because of Dr. Hook’s singer).
I can byelorussian. I had to learn it at the age of 15, because of the USSR break lol. In college 🙂 then – in university. My second profession – teacher of byelorussian language. Of coz I was able to write the poem (and win) only because I already could the language. But it was very tough first 3-4 years. Because no one was waiting for me (during lessons/in the college). Other knew the rules after the school (9years), me – zero. Anyway, at 23 I could talk & read perfectly:)
Hope it explains a bit more the situations in interview.
I love byelorussian literature btw… and kids in my class (high school) would never guess that I started to learn it in college only 😂😂
Ha. Better late than never.
😉✌️👍
😂😂✌️
My main field – Classic Russian Literature + byelorussian language & literature (as second). I spent almost 20 years studying, damn 😂😂😅😅
So I’ve noticed. I love Russians too. Damn good. Not many people read anything to do with ‘Putin’, if you know what I mean. They have no idea what they’re missing.
Btw, I like the idea of that Greek character. I’m in Greece as we speak, caught up in a storm, but like Ray (of light) defying the Gods.
Yeah I know. It’s the same in Sweden. If I say “Russian” – next question: and what do you think of Putin? 😏😏😒
Russian or let’s say Slavic literature is really huge & rich* (language/form/imagery).
And “Russian” doesn’t mean we r thinking or talking about Putin all the time, no way!
Wow, so you are in Greece!! Aaaa so warm, even if it’s stormy ⛈ now – it will be quickly over. At least tomorrow 🤩☀️☀️☀️
Here’s damn brrrr-cold! ⛄️⛄️☃️☃️☃️☃️❄️❄️
Enjoy your trip 🔥💥🍇🍉🥗🥗🍤 & food & Greek hospitality 🙂
Damn politics…and ignorant people.
Literature, film, history, you name it. One of the best trips I went on was precisely Russia. To date. Period. So, forgive them father, they don’t know shit.
Will do. Hope always dies last.
They don’t know shit :)) agreed…
Take care & have fun too :))
Live the blurb.
And lol honey…you are one of a kind!
💋💋💋💋
I meant “love”.
God sakes autocorrect….
Happens all the time here too 😂😂
😉💕💕📚thank you! Hugs 🤗
You’re right on about “feel good” novels, as they don’t necessarily mean one thing. They can mean many different things.
Fitting in is vastly overrated. It’s so much more fun to venture to the places no one else goes.
Exactly my point (in both cases) 😉😁
So much better to be a misfit. Odd is WAY more interesting, I think.
How are you getting a done? You’re not secretly a vampire are you? haha
I always sleep 7hrs min (often 8) 😂✌️
I just work on 2-3 projects in the same time. That’s all.
That makes sense 🙂 Forthe record, If you were a vampire, I’d keep your secret.
I don’t know if I’d like to be one…😂
Yes, I’m usually working on 2-4 projects (books) in the same time. I want to publish min 4 books a year. Get ready 😂😂 to read more Ray
I’m not sure the world can handle it but I say go right ahead!
Maybe can’t handle today, but who knows about tomorrow 😉✌️
Exactly
You are POWER PACKED!😉✌️👍
Girl 👧 never-ending-power! Yo 😂☄️
Lots going on, VR. You are a blur. 😊
Yaaaayyy…flying away! See you soon, tomorrow 💫💫💥☄️☄️when I get back haha 😂
Yeeeeessssssssss. 🚀
Once upon a time when India and the erstwhile USSR were great friends, we were flooded with Russian literature and had the opportunity to read fantastic Russian writers.
Knowing the colour of knickers of your characters is good. You can decide in which coloured knickers they gonna die!! 😂😂
😮wow! Great 🙂
😂 and you never know, maybe the color of their knickers will help to solve the crime 😅😮
Yup! Great idea! 😄😄
🙂
