The Path of Ray is not only about writing. It is also about reflections, connecting with oneself and the world. The path of yellow and orange, of sharp speech and bold ideas, of silly pearls of wisdom and hidden truths, healing and awakening. The greatest writers often say that their stories come from a source beyond the thinking mind. How do we access that source? How we cultivate our ideas? How do we reveal profound discovery through simple words? Words that after many years will continue to inspire and move our readers…
In my vision, writing is a voyage, like an odyssey, often complicated, messy, doubtful, and spine-chilling, which means it shouldn’t ever be boring.
Last week I finished reading a book about Margaret Rutherford – an English actress, eccentric on screen but a kind and calm person in real life. Her desire to perform was so irresistible that she became famous around the world (btw, she also played Miss Marple😉). She wasn’t beautiful, she didn’t want to be famous, she just wanted to be an actress. Did you know, Margaret Rutherford only became famous after she was 35, and she married when she was over 50?
The biography is a complicated read because it is full of unrecognizable names, but that is secondary to the book’s message – her life was truly fascinating. It was the life of a woman who genuinely believed in her path.
I’m mentioning it as an example: “It doesn’t matter your age or situation in life – you have to be bold.”
Be bold with your vision.
Be bold in your writing.
Be bold with what matters to you.
Writing calls us to engage in the power of thinking and storytelling, as well as in the process of understanding our emotional core. The idea of a story, which quietly arrives in your head, invites you on a journey of change, growth, and discovery. Each tale is your spiritual evolution. Sometimes it is quite a shocking revolution… ah, did I say “revolution”? Forget it. It’s just a mistake. Or not?🤔😬
The Path of Ray is never the path of hate, it is always the path of love.
Love with a million hair-rising faces of my heroes. 😱
The Path of Ray is also the path Out of Standard.
The Path into the surreal beyond…
A couple of days ago I finished reading a noir thriller, A Dark Matter, by Doug Johnstone. In three words – I liked it. At first (within the opening 10-15 pages), I wanted to drop it but then I sensed some kind of “style,” plus the structure was very “smart”. Let’s not forget the details of the dead bodies, especially during cremation!
Minus: over-detailed chapters, drawn-out conversations that were going nowhere.
Plus: the portraits of each member of the Skelfs family are done well.
I couldn’t relate to anyone, though. Probably to Jim, but he died on the first page of the book.
I am recommending it to people who enjoy a noir thriller with a touch of over-cooked flesh.
In other news, I’m creating the pre-order page for my absurdist sci-fiction and grotesque fantasy with a touch of comedy – The Pearl Territory. Or, to put it simply, a surreal drama 😂. You will see the full yellow book cover (in print) in October. Design – by Ray.
My list of non-fiction/occult/mystical reading (7 for now):
1. Divine Spark, by Graham Hancock
2. Other Minds: The Octopus and the Evolution of Intelligent Life, by Peter Godfrey-Smith
3. Practical Guide to Qabalistic Symbolism, by Gareth Knight
4. The Book of Secret Wisdom: The Prophetic Record of Human Destiny, by Zinovia Dushkova
5. Infinitesimal: How a Dangerous Mathematical Theory Shaped the Modern World, by Amir Alexander
6. Shamanism As Spiritual Practice, by Tom Cowan, Thomas Dale Cowan
7. Zulu Shaman: Dreams, Prophecies, and Mysteries, by Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa
Reading now – in fiction:
Eternal Road, by John W. Howell – link
I added the conversation between Dr. Garcia and Sophia to my thriller. It doesn’t explain a lot about the twelve-page-artifact, but it does explain who helped Sophia in Jerusalem. Do not forget this book won a Silver Medal in the International Competition – Readers Favorite. I’m thrilled and proud! 🕺🕺 And it’s only the beginning…
Be bold with your writing!
Be Ray or Be Better! 😉📚
