Have you ever walked alone by a snow-glazed sea?

I think this line is too beautiful. Simply #must share with you, ppl => ‘Have you ever cracked your heart
so hard upon cold black rocks
that old wounds split open and bleed
out into the sea?’

The Paths of the Spirit

Have you ever walked alone by a
Snow-glazed sea, with the steady breath
Of tides and the desperate cry
Of seagulls flossing your thoughts,
Blushing to the raw undressing
of the icy wind as it flushes your pores
Clean of memories, and pulls the
Salty homesickness of your soul
Ruthlessly from your blinking eyes.
Have you ever cracked your heart
So hard upon cold black rocks
That old wounds split open and bleed
out into the sea?
Have you ever stood alone,
By a white and blue coast, shivering with release,
As though someone just ripped a bandage off your soul,
asking yourself: What is out there?
What is out there?

  1. Please, if I begin to sound to ‘sappy’ or ‘hero worship’ like, tell me to knock it off, and return to my life at hand!
The truth be known I have no one else too “like”!

  2. One more and I’ll be quiet! The picture you posted is beautiful is so many different ways! What caught my eye was the ‘lighthouse’ and I would like to dedicate that ‘lighthouse’ to Ray! In so many ways you are a ‘lighthouse’ to so many!
    Thank you!

      1. My meaning, when I wrote about the lighthouse’s presence in the picture, I was trying to say that I feel you are like that ‘lighthouse’ for so many of your followers
A lighthouse’s purpose on earth ‘is to guide, safely’! I just kind of thought that was inline with what you do for us, here.
        “irony” !

      2. If you think I’m trying to do that..to guide, to tell you what to do or how – you are wrong :)) but it doesn’t matter. U see what u see, u read what u read. But I’m not a lighthouse. And I don’t wanna be any lighthouse. I’m not here to teach you ppl how to live.

  3. No seas, however, lake Michigan and Lake Erie can get brutal at times!
Sometimes, i feel as though I ‘should’ exist in an ambulance, or emergency room, when “the old wounds” come forward!

      1. Long and loud applause for ‘Ray’
Would just ‘love’ to send flowers, chocolates, margaritas, for your outstanding research abilities. However, being nice to someone ‘day’ is over for another year!

    1. Well, I have been called worse! But not over ‘blood’. 🙂 Might I suggest you tell us how our ‘blood’ like so many things in our lives, we take for granted!
